Личностно-ориентированная психиатрия подразумевает смену парадигмы и смещение акцента с болезни на пациента и на его личность, основываясь при этом на принципах науки и гуманизма. Распространение личностно-ориентированного подхода на медицину в целом делает его более глубоким и ценным. Более того, имеется насущная потребность в преодолении редукционизма в клинической практике, а также в усилении проявлений сострадания, утешения, эмпатии, проницательности и интуиции наряду и в полной интеграции с научно обоснованными стратегиями в целях улучшения состояния пациентов, облегчения их страданий и излечения. Мы надеемся, что освещение проблемы, рассмотренной в данной статье, сможет пролить свет на те сложные моменты, которые необходимо понять, и наметит перспективные направления на пути к психиатрии и медицине, ориентированной на личность в целом.
