In this comparative correlation study, pursuing the objective of identifying the features of expressive speech in patients with schizophrenia and schizophrenia spectrum disorders, we consider the results of the analysis of texts written by two groups of respondents – the clinical and control ones. It has been established that in the speech of people with pathology, the frequency of verbs was higher and adjectives - lower than in the control group. We describe the qualitative features of speech, which are most clearly manifested at the syntactic level of language. Correlations of personality factors with the frequency of the above-said parts of speech have been established: these were negative correlations with verbs and positive - with adjectives. Similar correlations were also established with indicators of the level of quality of life in patients. The results were analyzed in terms of clinical manifestations and patho-psychology of the disorder.
