In this empirical study of the quality of life of patients with alcoholism, depending on the severity of cognitive disorders, 52 patients with alcohol dependence were examined. As a control group, 30 healthy individuals were examined. To assess cognitive functions, Go/NoGo, Corsi, Stroop color test and Cambridge Gambling Task were used. To assess the quality of life, the questionnaire “Quality of life Assessment” (36-Item Short Form Survey) was used. It was found that quality of life indicators decrease in patients with alcoholism and depend on the severity of inhibitory control disorders, cognitive flexibility and logical thinking.
