Abstract

In order to study the specifics of women's adaptation to motherhood, an empirical study of women with normal and complicated pregnancy was conducted. The internal structure of the connections of medical, social and psychological indicators of experiences at prenatal and neonatal stages was determined by factor analysis.
The results obtained made it possible to consider the targets of psychological work, carried out by specialists, in order to form the program of psychological preparation for motherhood.

Keywords adaptation to motherhood; complicated course of pregnancy; social status of a woman in conditions of late, unrealized motherhood
