Abstract

During a single-stage retrospective study, 59 patients with a verified diagnosis of epilepsy were examined in order to clarify the features of the structure of their post-psychotic episodes, depending on the type of epileptic seizures. Based on the results of complex clinical, psychopathological and psychometric examinations using a number of scales, the relationship of post-psychotic disorders and their structure with the type of paroxysmal episode was revealed, and the results of the correlation analysis of the data obtained were discussed. Based on the data obtained, an assumption is formulated about the features of an interictal psychotic episode, its greater severity in connection with the formation of apathetic disorders in the post-psychotic period. The idea of the expediency of further study of this group of patients has been herein formulated.
