In this scientific review, in order to study the clinical features of the course of endogenous and exogenous diseases, an analysis of psychopathological symptomatology in patients with paranoid schizophrenia with HIV infection taking antiretroviral therapy was carried out; the control group was comprised of patients with combined pathology without taking antiretroviral therapy. The problem of adequate combination of antipsychotic and antiretroviral therapy in HIV-infected patients with psychiatric and addiction disorders requires discussion, as the treatment regimen for such patients should be selected taking into account the pharmacokinetics of drugs and the risk of undesirable and toxic effects, low or no adherence to maintenance therapy, and immunological status.
