Practical experience of a medical psychologist in an outpatient department: analysis of the activities of the medical and psychological counseling office for participants in the special military operation and their family members

Abstract

This article highlights the practical experience of a medical psychologist in the outpatient unit of the office of medical and psychological counseling, opened on the basis of St. Petersburg State Medical Institution “City Polyclinic No 54” on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation dated October 14, 2022 № 668n “On approval of the procedure for providing medical care for mental and behavioral disorders.” Today, the office of medical and psychological counseling is a mandatory separate structural unit of a medical institution. Their work is aimed not only at providing psychological assistance to the population, but also at providing psychological support to participants in the special military operation and their relatives. The article presents data on seeking psychological counseling, as well as recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the work of a medical psychologist in the office of medical and psychological counseling in the system of primary specialized medical care for adults.
