In this scientific review aimed at analyzing foreign scientific publications on the issue of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), an overview of articles presented in the PubMed scientific medical library from 1991 to 2023 was conducted. Statistical processing of the results was performed using the following methods: Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (for transforming textual data into numerical vectors), K-Means (for data clustering), and Principal Component Analysis (for dimensionality reduction and visualization of clusters on a plane); cosine similarity between thematic clusters and a coefficient were calculated. The search identified five clusters corresponding to the key topic: the relationship between PTSD and various biopsychosocial factors; PTSD in children; the prevalence of PTSD among veterans and the general population; the consequences of traumatic events (e.g., natural disasters), their impact on survivors, and the development of PTSD; and the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD, including methods and approaches used in clinical research. The range of cosine similarity coefficients between clusters indicates the diversity of research topics on PTSD, covering epidemiological, pathogenetic, and etiological aspects in various population groups. The results of this analysis can serve as a basis for further scientific research in this field.
