Abstract

The objective of this scientific review is to present data of brain stimulation methods in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The focus is on a review of studies on the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES). TMS protocols and stimulation targets are considered from the standpoint of the validity of the impact on individual brain structures that are included in neural circuits in PTSD. A separate assessment was made of studies that provide combined therapy with virtual reality (VR) and TES.

Keywords post-traumatic stress disorder; neural networks; transcranial magnetic stimulation; transcranial electrical stimulation; virtual reality
