Abstract

In this retrospective study in order to assess the characteristics of compulsory medical measures, the dynamics of the main indicators according to the forms of state reporting in St. Petersburg for 2006–2023 was analyzed. The analysis of the nosological structure showed the predominance of patients with schizophrenic spectrum disorders. An increase in the number of patients with a simultaneous increase in the average duration of compulsory medical measures and accumulation of patients with long periods of compulsory treatment in hospitals was revealed. The use of outpatient compulsory observation and treatment after inpatient treatment is expanding in practice. The trends identified in St. Petersburg coincide with the all-Russian trends.

Keywords compulsory treatment; compulsory measures of medical nature; socially dangerous acts; mental disorders
