In this retrospective study, in order to describe the practical implementation of compulsory medical measures, the current experience of the psychiatric hospital of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg State Medical Institution "City Psychiatric Hospital No 3 named after I.I. Skvortsov-Stepanov" is presented. Progressive growth in the number of patients under compulsory treatment in a general hospital has been noted, which, combined with a reduction in bed capacity, significantly increases the share of beds used for the implementation of compulsory measures. A significant part of patients suffer from endogenous mental disorders. The main drugs for treatment are clozapine and zuclopenthixol. An important aspect of working with patients in compulsory treatment is the implementation of programs aimed at reducing the likelihood of relapses and the successful integration of patients into society.
