Abstract

The study, which had been carried out at the Social Services Centre, looked at two groups of patients – the old and the older old, who suffer from non-psychotic anxiety disorders. Each group included 100 persons. It has been established, that the main clinical forms of anxiety disorders emerge more frequently, and are more pronounced in old persons, as opposed to the older old. The exception was found in the case of organic anxiety disorders, for which the reverse was true.
