Expert approaches to dealing with drug addicts in light of legislative developments

Reviewed are problems associated with optimizing the performance of expert committees in the context of possibilities provided by presentday legislation in keeping with the latest legislative innovations and a resultant increase in the volume of production of forensic psychiatric expert evidence with regard to drugaddicted persons. The results showed their vulnerability and the need to refine their remit for conducting expert examinations in a criminal process. A certain algorithm was proposed to deal with issues within the frame of sections envisaged
for alternative punishment under criminal law, treatment and medical rehabilitation.
