Abstract

The paper presents clinical features and precipitating factors of the self-injurious behavior, based on medical data analysis among victims of various forms of violence. It is found that suicide attempts, made by victims of various forms of violence are “genuine”, and the period preceding suicide, in most cases, is short. Intensity of mental disorders in the period following parasuicide, and their response to medical interventions depend on the type of violent (unlawful) action.
