In this original study, pursuing the goal of identifying the clinical peculiarities of the emergence of the states of increased irritability and emotional excitability in the course of nonpsychotic mental disorders, we have evaluated the clinical-psychopathological and the clinical-psychological characteristics of psychogenic states. It has been established that there are psychogenic mechanisms underlying the clinical manifestations of increased irritability and emotional excitability, which are linked to the essence of the traumatizing conflict, its subjective significance, its emotional-axiological experiencing, and the social support. We have identified the factors, which mediate this emergence. The obtained results may be used in developing the prophylactic and the therapeutic approaches to patients with nonpsychotic mental disorders.
