Abstract

The goal of this study have been to develop a special instrument of assessment of the risk of recurrence of violent crimes among men with paranoid schizophrenia. Our research has shown that HCR-20 has a good predictive validity (AUC=0.754; p<0.001) among men with paranoid schizophrenia. A special instrument of assessment of the risk of recurrence of violent crimes among men with paranoid schizophrenia (HCR-8) has been developed. We argue that this new instrument (HCR-8) has a better prognostic value (AUC=0.806; p<0.001). A prognostic model of assessment of recurrence of violent behavior among men with paranoid schizophrenia has been developed in accordance with the results of logistic regression (РПН) and has “very good” prognostic validity (AUC=0.858; p<0.001).
