Abstract

In observational study researched the interrelation of psychopathological syndromes and the state of cellular immunity in HIV-infected patients with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. We have used comparison of means and regression analysis. HIV infection affects individual indicators of the effector level of cellular immunity in patients with paranoid schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, while it differs in schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder and in various forms of schizophrenia. The structure of psychopathological disorders in HIV-infected patients with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder correlates with the immunoregulatory index CD4+/CD8+, which reflects the involvement of the effector cell-mediated immunity in the formation of a clinic of endogenous disorders.

Keywords schizophrenia; schizoaffective disorder; psychopathology; HIV; infection; immunoregulatory index
