Dynamics and comparative analysis of child and adolescent incidence of mental disorders in the Russian Federation in the years 2000-2018

Abstract

On the basis of epidemiological research for the period 2000-2018, against the background of the decrease in the number of children and adolescents, high rates of morbidity of mental disorders in these age groups were revealed, exceeding the rates of morbidity of the adult population in the Russian Federation, the growth of child morbidity of psychotic disorders. The identified problems point to the need for their urgent solution through a set of measures, including the solution at the government review of the task of developing and financing programs aimed at strengthening the mental health of children and adolescents.
