Modern aspects of the diagnosis of mental disorders in epilepsy

In the review, in order to systematize various views on mental disorders due to epilepsy, an analysis of Russian and foreign publications devoted to modern ideas about the meaning of affective (depressive, anxious, dysphoric states), cognitive (impaired thinking, memory, attention), psychotic (ictal, postictal and interictal psychoses) and personality disorders in the clinic of epilepsy. Various approaches to the diagnosis of these conditions, risk factors for their occurrence are considered.
