Abstract

The authors studied case histories of 296 deceased schizophrenic patients kept in the archives of psychiatric hospitals of Moscow, from 2007 through 2013. Sociodemographic conditions and clinical and therapeutic factors of schizophrenic patients’ mortality are described. The obtained data testify to family and social disadvantages of deceased schizophrenia patients., Catatonic and shift-like schizophrenia, of more than 10 years duration, permanent occupational disability, urgent hospitalization, polypragmasy can be unfavorable clinico-therapeutic factors.
