"Anti-psychiatric" lawmaking

Abstract

The paper asserts that the conceptual framework of some recent legislative innovations relevant to the field of mental health activities has taken on a distinctly “anti-psychiatric” character. This fact may have negative consequences for psychiatric practice. However, to elicit it by analyzing only the legal text is generally deemed insufficient. This problem is considered using as an example one of the recent draft bills in which the author was involved at the preparation stage.
