Abstract

This paper reviews the development of psychotherapeutic approaches to the treatment of sex offenders from the 1980s to the present. It is shown that the efficacy of therapy in foreign countries and Russia is assessed primarily by the relapse criterion. Discussed are features of the cognitive-behavioral approach, the RNR model (RiskNeed-Responsivity model), Good Lives Model (GLM) of offender rehabilitation.
