Abstract

This paper adduces data on Russian population norms for the “Brief Assessment of Cognition in Patients with Affective Disorders” (BAC-A) battery. This battery is comprised of tests assessing cognition in patients with various affective pathology, both non-recurrent and recurrent. Battery norms were obtained based on assessing 211 healthy individuals. The study includes both comparison of the norms for Russian population with baseline norms, and standardization of derived data when all scores were converted into a unified system of measurement in order to increase the accuracy of score interpretation. Norms for Russian population are consistent with baseline norms; which is why the ВАС-А battery may be recommended for measuring cognition in patients with affective disorders in Russian population.
