Efficiency of rational psychotherapy of adjustment disorder among police officers

The aim of scientific investigation consists in evaluation of efficiency of rational psychotherapy in police officers with adjustment disorder after detached duties to the North Caucasus region. The study involved police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kursk region. Patients were examined before and after detached duties at Medical Care unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kursk region with clinical psychopathological method and psychometric tests. There was established that prolonged detached duty is psychotraumatic situation and it had caused adjustment disorders. It was found that the indicators of quality of life of patients with adjustment disorders are less than in general population. It is shown that the negative effects of adjustment disorders for mental health, social activity and the efficiency therapy could be measured by test of quality of life. Rational psychotherapy is expedient for correction of aggravation and social functioning disturbance.
