Abstract

This article presents the analysis of the activities of the forensic-psychiatric expert service of the Russian Federation: we submit the indicators of the activities of forensic-psychiatric expert institutions in 2016; we also submit the tendencies of the development of the service in the regions and in the country as a whole over the last 10 years. Systemic problems have been identified in the organization of forensic-psychiatric expert units at the regional level over the last 10 years. This makes it necessary that the authorities in the field of Health Care and the heads of specialized services should carry out additional analysis and should rethink the problematic issues under consideration, taking into account the departmental tasks and the problems of the concerned judicial and investigative bodies.
