Cognitive deficiency in patients with delirium tremens

Abstract

A survey of 122 patients with delirium tremens. The cognitive abilities of patients were evaluated by psychometric tools: Trail-making test, Verbal fluency test, Benton visual retention test, subtest "Encryption" from Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale. It was revealed that in patients two weeks after the exit from the abortive and typical forms of delirium tremens there was a pronounced deficiency of cognitive abilities.
