Symptomatic response to stress and indicators of resilience among healthcare workers in the situation of the COVID-19

This single-stage retrospective study aims to justify the risk groups and the targets of psychological prevention among healthcare workers during the pandemic period. The article presents the results of a study conducted during the first month after the introduction of restrictive measures in theRussian Federation. 112 representatives of various professions, including employees of the outpatient care service that provides care to patients suffering from mental disorders, took part in the research. The features of stress response and resilience characteristics depending on the profile of professional activity and gender are highlighted in this article. It is concluded that there is a need to change the priorities of psychological assistance, taking into account the gender-specific vulnerability factors.
