Abstract

In this original empirical study aiming to analyze the activities of the psychiatric service of the Russian Federation for the prevention of public dangerousness of persons with mental disorders for the period 2010-2019, generalized results of state statistical reports on forensic psychiatry and General psychiatric reports regarding the provision of measures to prevent public dangerousness are presented, allowing to assess their content and effectiveness. Strengthening resource provision may be an important way to optimize the system of forensic psychiatric prevention; application of valid methods for assessing the risk of illegal behavior, as well as consistent implementation of the biopsychosocial prevention model.
