In the scientific review, in order to systematize modern ideas about the importance of neurocognitive domains in the epilepsy clinic, an analysis of Russian and foreign publications over the past 10 years on electronic information resources (Elsevier library, PubMed, Google Scholar) is carried out. Six distinguished domains are considered: attention, perceptual-motor function, speech function, learning and memory, social cognition, and executive function. The connection of certain neurocognitive disorders with the localization and lateralization of the lesion focus in the epileptic process has been traced.
