Current problems of organization of forensic-psychiatric expert service in the Russian Federation

Abstract

The paper provides data on the activity of forensic-psychiatric expert service (FPES) in the Russian Federation. Shown is the dynamics of performance
of forensic-psychiatric expert assessment divisions over the past ten years with negative factors identified that adversely impact the work of forensic psychiatric experts. Focal areas and activities of FPES are defined in the context of challenges that have emerged in recent years.
