Abstract

In a single-stage retrospective study to determine the diagnostic accuracy of binocular eye tracking in the assessment of paraphilic disorders 147 men were examined  by clinical, psychopathological, sexological and psychophysiological methods. It was shown that the psychophysiological technique used has high sensitivity (90.2%), specificity (90.8%), average unweighted accuracy (94.3%), and efficiency (91%). In general, the criterion validity of the method is quite high, while the presence of mental disorders and eye diseases does not significantly affect the diagnostic accuracy of the method. Thus, modern eye tracking systems have great diagnostic potential and can be used in scientific and practical interests.

Keywords eye tracker; paraphilic disorder; diagnostic accuracy
