Abstract

In this observational comparative study, in order to identify the predictors of aggressive behavior, the clinical and socio-demographic characteristics of two groups of respondents with schizophrenia spectrum disorders were studied: those who committed socially dangerous acts of violent nature and those with law-abiding behavior. Statistically significant factors contributing to the formation of aggression towards others have been determined. The clinical features of the leading psychopathological syndrome in the compared groups are described. The data obtained contribute to understanding the genesis of aggressive behavior of mentally ill people, which is necessary to increase the effectiveness of measures preventing their social dangerousness.
