В кратком научном обзоре рассматривается современное состояние психосоциальной терапии при шизофрении, а также дается представление о том, как развивалась данная терапия за последние несколько лет. Описывается, как можно определить методы лечения, а также этапы, на которые можно разделить исследования в области психосоциальной терапии, в соответствии с основополагающими вопросами исследования. Кроме того, подчеркивается важность сочетания фармакологического лечения с психосоциальными подходами, такими как когнитивная терапия, при работе с пациентами.
