In this cross-sectional epidemiological study, pursuing the objective of researching the speech development disorders in children who presented at the specialized Speech Centre – the «Centre for the pathology of speech and neurorehabilitation», we have carried out the retrospective analysis looking at the age of first-time patients, the age characteristics of patients, nosological features of speech development disorders, and the diagnostic conclusions. We submit a brief description of therapeutic approaches towards corrective interventions for speech development disorders in children. We emphasize the importance and the need for combined interdisciplinary therapeutic interventions and a long-term supportive course of treatment for these children.
