Представленисторический обзор развития защиты ссылкой на невменяемость в системе общего права Англии. Приводится краткий обзор основных положений правовых систем, используемых в разных странах мира, в целях описания различий между системами кодифицированного и общего права. Предлагаются краткое изложение наиболее релевантных правовых систем античности, а также их философских подходов к рассмотрению поврежденного рассудка у лиц, совершивших преступления.Приводится исторический анализ развития английской правовой системы
